Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan H B Institute of Communication and Management (Bhavan HBICM)

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was established by Kulpati Shree Dr. Kanaiyalal Munshiji in 1938 in Mumbai to promote education and professional training along with the values and virtues of India and Indian Culture. As Gandhiji’s friend, Shri K M Munshi was a freedom fighter. He was also the member of the Indian Constituent Assembly. Today the group is very well known and has many colleges, schools, cultural centers, and other institutions through which it contributes significantly to the academic, cultural, and social development of its wards across the country. The Ahmedabad Kendra was established in 1961. Bhavan’s H B Institute of Communication and Management, in the name of Shri Harilal Bhagwati, was established in 1967 to impart professional training to the students and young executives of Ahmedabad and nearby villages. HBICM offers Government recognized part-time Post-Graduate Diploma courses in Communication (such as Journalism, Mass Communication and Public Relations,) and Management (such as Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, International Trade, Materials Management, Marketing and Sales, etc.) To keep pace with the rapid socio-economic development taking place in India, we now offer short duration Executive Education Programmes as well as new age courses such as ERP, Project Management, Block Chain, Hospital Management, Tourism Management, Entrepreneurship Development, etc. through tie-ups up with various professional bodies and industries. The other colleges in the Ahmedabad Kendra Campus includes Bhavan’s Sheth R A College of Arts and Commerce, Bhavan’s Sheth R A College of Science, Bhavan’s Center for Arts and Cultural Academy, and Gandhi Institute of Computer Education and Information Technology.
