Government College for Women, Lakhan Majra

Government College for Women, Lakhan Majra, situated on Lakhan Majra- Gohana road, is an adorable effort of Haryana Government to facilitate and promote the girls' education. Honorable Chief Minister, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, ceremoniously laid the foundation stone on 6 November, 2008 and inaugurated the college building on 27 September, 2012. The sprawl of the college campus is 13 acres with spacious and ventilated class rooms, well equipped and fully functional laboratories, well stocked library and with lush green lawns. It is affiliated to MDU, Rohtak. During the session 2012-13, number of  students admitted in the collegeis 328. At present 15 Associate/Assistant Professors are working in various subjects and a team of 12 ministerial staff is efficiently cooperating in the smooth running of the newly established college. Though the college is at its teething stage, still it has bagged with medals in sports, prizes in youth festival, and placements in MNCs through job fairs. It celebrates sports day, cultural fest, founder's day, annual day and graduate farewell day. Every year, health camp is organized in the college for the improvement of students' health.
