Fateh Chand College For Women
F.C. College for Women, Hisar is a premier institution devoted to empowerment of rural and under-privileged urban girls. Rai Fateh Chand, founder of the college was a visionary who felt the need to empower women many decades ago. In order to fulfil this need he established this institution in 1935 in Lahore (Pakistan), in an effort provide ample opportunities to help them every women attain their goals and realize their dreams.
After Partition, the institution was re-established at Hisar in 1954. The credit goes to late Pt. Thakur Das Bhargava, Seth Jaswant Rai, Pandit Nanak Chand, Seth Mahesh Chander, Bakshi Ram Kishan and Babu Mahabir Prasad Jain, Dr. Rajender Nath and many other social workers. Their unending efforts helped the institution re-establish at Hisar and now the college occupies a prestigious place amongst the educational institutions of the region.
