Job and responsibilities of a Chef:
- Overseeing, Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other kitchen workers

- Order and maintain the inventory of food and supplies

After completion of degree or diploma join any hotel or restaurant kitchen as a trainee
After successfully completing your training, you moved to beginner position in kitchen
After a few years of experience you can become a chef
After a few years of experience as a chef, you can become a Sous chef
After 10-12 years of experience you can become an Executive chef

At the beginning level, one can earn around 7000 - 10000 PM. After a little bit of experience, the expected salary can be 15000 - 30000 and after that, it will depend on your experience and position. One Sous chef can earn around 50,000 and an executive chef can expect a salary of 70000 - 100000 PM.Career Scope
