NISCORT- New Institute of Social Communications Research and Training, is a professional Media College for Journalism and Mass Communication Studies. Situated in NCR-Delhi, NISCORT caters to the needs of both media students and the industry. A brainchild of the Catholic Bishops Conference of India (CBCI), NISCORT strives to create a media workforce of media personnel who aim at producing morally uplifting and culturally enriching programmes and media content for the holistic growth of society.
The College offers students various Masters Degree programmes (MA) in Broadcast Journalism (MABJ), Audio-Visual Productions (MAAVC), Journalism (MJ), Bachelor’s Degree or Graduation Programme in Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC), Diploma and Short term Certificate courses in various Audio-Visual Media and Pastoral communications, etc. NISCORT also takes the initiative of training Social workers who in today’s technological arena need to be skilled in Communication in order to Document their activities both in print and Audio-Visual. NISCORT also has tie-up programmes with colleges and organises short training sessions for those students who wish to enhance their media skills through short term courses in News reporting, Graphic Designing, Photography, Videography and Web Designing.

Studying at NISCORT has the added impetus of getting hands-on experience in working with equipment and a professionally made Audio and Video studio. Practicals are a must with students honing their editorial skills with writing and editing the bi-monthly college newsletter, ‘NISCORT Vista’ and working on the videography, anchoring, acting and editing skills with a monthly Visual production called ‘NISCORT Frames’. NISCORT helps build future by training the future generation to contribute to media content in an ethical way. It is a home far from home.
