Overview
Bachelor of Education is the undergraduate professional degree which prepares students to work as a teacher in India. The B.Ed. degree is mandatory for teaching at the secondary (classes 9 and 10) and higher secondary (10+2 or classes 11 and 12) level. The students can choose the specialization based on their graduation study. The B.Ed program includes various teaching methods and training.
The purpose of this course is to develop the skills so that candidate can impart the quality education to the students. This course provides all necessary training to students to clear all the aspects of classroom teaching. The subject depends on the student's graduation degree like for art students the subjects are history, English, geography etc and for science students chemistry, biology etc.

How to apply:
To pursue this course, students needs to pass the entrance exam which is conducted by different states, education bodies and universities. Bases on the ranking in exam, student get admission in the associated institutes. The entrance exam genrally held in jun or july. You can also pursue this course through distance education if can't go college.

Career prospects:After completion of this course students can go for M.Ed also if they want.
The various career venues for B.Ed graduates are schools, coaching centers, education departments, home tuition, educational consultancies, private tuition and so on.The kind of job after this course one can pursue are Teaching, Administration, Counselor, Instructor, Librarian, Principal, Syllabus Designer etc.
Eligibility:
In order to pursue Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program, the candidate needs to hold a bachelor degree from any discipline. Minimum marks required for this is 50% and 45% for reserved category candidates. The person who has minimum 2 years of teaching experience in any recognized school or institution may also apply for this.Course Duration:

Please inform me details of distance learning colleges for b.ed...how can I apply as soon as possible....as I m a teacher ....I can't do it in regular basis.
