B. Sc - Nursing

Overview

Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) in Nursing is an undergraduate course of 4 years duration which focuses on the study of basic fundamentals of nursing. During the course it is taught the nurses that how to work in a large variety of specialties where they work independently and as part of a team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. The value of the course is an immense and it is job orienting in nature.

Eligibility for this course is 10+2 with biology, chemistry or Physics.

Further Study Options:
Students can choose to go for M. Sc in Nursing if they want to do further study instead of a job. Other Master degree programs are M. Phil (Nursing) or Ph. D. (Nursing).

Career options:
B.Sc in nursing graduates can seek employment in Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Educational Institutes, Private Clinics, and related Health Departments. They can work as Staff Nurse, Community Health Nurse, Nursing Advisor, Trainer, and Nursing Supervisor.
