What is copywriting?

Copywriting is the activity or occupation of writing the text of advertisements or publicity material. It is the art of writing text to promote or sell a product, a business an idea, etc.

  • Social Media posts, etc.

Copywriter:

Copywriters are professionals who create fresh written content for advertising, marketing, and descriptive texts. Copywriters help create billboards, brochures, catalogs, jingle lyrics, magazine and newspaper advertisements, sales letters and other direct mail, scripts for television or radio commercials, taglines, white papers, social media posts, and other marketing communications.  

A copywriter must be able to write content that captures the attention of the audience and persuades them to take some action. 

Role and Responsibilities of a copywriter:

1. Discussing with the clients to understand the core message and the target audience
2. Identifying the platforms where the product should be promoted to  make an impact
3. Brainstorming with the team and coming up with creative ideas
4. Preparing the content for different platforms like social media, TV, newspaper etc.
5. Working closely with clients to show all the options created and finalize one
6. Make sure that the final idea should be published everywhere properly and as it decided
7.Keep an eye on the performance of the campaign

Copywriters with 1-4 years of experience can expect to earn between 3.5 to 4 lakh.
